Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about us. Docs in Orbit is a transnational documentary film podcast that launched in April 2020 to support the independent film community by creating a nourishing space for artists to discuss the films that move them and fuel their creations. 

We believe independent filmmakers are a vital cultural force, and we seek to build solidarity around their efforts by facilitating meaningful exchanges and cross-cultural connections.

Our podcast offers in-depth conversations with contemporary non-fiction filmmakers that delve into their artistic process as they work with the moving image in their distinct social and political context. We also explore modern approaches to film curation with programmers.

We offer our content free across several platforms so that it may be accessible to everyone. We are also invested in remaining independent and ad-free as we explore equitable ways of co-creation. This means we rely on the gracious support of our contributors, who invest their time, attention, and energy in this project, and on the sponsorship of film festivals that invite our participation to their event.
